TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Court 1 is the one closest to the prep classrooms (southern court) and Court 2 is the northern court.

Court Hire

Courts can be hired in 1/2 hour increments with a minimum hire period of one hour per booking.

Pricing

The court booking fee is set by the P&C. Payment for all bookings must be made in advance.

Purpose of Use

The tennis courts at the venue are only to be used for the purpose of recreational tennis. Professional coaching on the tennis courts may not take place, other than by approved persons, who have the prior written agreement of the P&C. You are not permitted to use the tennis courts at the venue for any activity other than recreational tennis without prior written agreement of the P&C.

Access 

Access to the tennis courts will only be permitted for the court, date and time specified within your booking confirmation. You will be provided with a code that will enable access to the court at the date and time specified within your booking confirmation. You must enter the code in the lockbox in the tennis court shelter. It contains two keys - one is for the padlock located on the court gate and the other is for the lights. Please be conscientious and lock the gate lock when leaving the courts, if you are the only users of the courts at that time. The keys must be returned to the lockbox when you are finished using them.

Lighting

There are court lights available at the courts. The lights must be activated by the user switching them on using the switch in the electrical box on the wall of the Prep building. The key to the electrical box can be found in the lockbox. Users must ensure that all lights are switched off at the end of their booking. The lights must be switched off by 10pm. 

Cancellation Policy

A casual booking may be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to the booking time and a credit given for future use. No refund will be given. A permanent booking may be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to the booking time and a credit given. This credit can be used against any future booking. No refunds are given. No credit will be given for any additional cancellations.

Wet Weather

Please be aware that our courts will be unplayable after prolonged heavy rain. Determination of playability during wet weather is at the sole discretion of the user. For a casual booking a full credit is applied to a customer's account when a booking is unable to be used due to wet weather. This credit can be used against any future booking. No refunds are given. Permanent bookings receive no credit for washed out sessions.

Children

Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times during their use of the venue.

Finish Time

It is the responsibility of the hirer to finish play at the designated time. Where a court is vacant at the expiry of the booking period, the booking may be extended, in which case an additional charge is payable in minimum half hour increments.

Damage

All users of the tennis courts must not damage, deface or mark any part of the venue. You agree that you will be fully responsible and liable to the P&C Club for any damage caused by you to the venue.

Other Users

You agree that you must ensure all users of the venue included as part of your booking comply with these terms and conditions. You agree that you will remain fully responsible and liable to the P&C under these terms and conditions for any breach of these terms and conditions by any user of the venue included as part of your booking.

Safety

It is a condition that users of the tennis courts undertake to use the facilities in a safe and cautious manner at all times.

Risk Warning

You acknowledge that by using the tennis courts you will be exposed to certain risks, including the risk of physical injury, and that use of the tennis courts is entirely at your own risk. You have voluntarily read and understood this risk warning and accept and assume the inherent risks in use of the tennis courts.

Release

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release and discharge the School and the P&C and their employees, members, volunteers and agents from all liability in respect of any loss or damage you may suffer from use of the tennis courts.

Player Etiquette

Please take all your rubbish with you and leave the tennis courts and facilities tidy for the next players to use and enjoy. Please note that if any rubbish or debris is left on the court after your booking, you may be charged a cleaning fee of up to $50 to be levied in the sole discretion of the P&C. 

In the early morning and late evening, players must be mindful of the local residents who live nearby. Try to keep noise on the court to a minimum. Smoking is not permitted within the venue, including on the tennis courts.

Footwear

All users must wear appropriate tennis footwear at all times when using the tennis courts at the venue.

Security and Privacy

We use Ezidebit for our secure payments and you can trust your credit card details are not stored on any of our servers and we use 256 bit encryption to ensure your details are safe. Your details will only be used to process and confirm your tennis court hire and will not be passed onto any 3rd party providers.

Private Coaching

Please note that private coaching is not permitted on EQ facilities, except by special prior arrangement through a formal contract with the P&C. 

Definitions

‘School’ means Fig Tree Pocket State School.

‘P&C’ means Fig Tree Pocket State School Parents and Citizens Association.

‘Venue’ means the premises at the address from which the tennis courts operate and includes, but is not limited to, the tennis courts, picnic shelter and surrounding facilities at the address.
